Nuclear Medicine

Accreditation

MPC offers both American College of Radiology (ACR) and Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine Laboratories (ICANL) accreditation services. The depth of service ranges from site inspections and / or consultations to complete application preparation.
Our accreditation program encompasses Nuclear Medicine as well as Mammography, Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

The Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008 (H.R. 6331) requires accreditation of your out-patient advanced diagnostic imaging services (MRI. CT, PET and Nuclear Medicine) by January 1, 2012. Accreditation by this deadline assures payment for the technical component of these modalities.

MPC encourages you to contact us as early as possible to avoid a last minute rush to accreditation, which could result in your out-patient facility not meeting the 01/01/12 deadline due to scheduling issues.

ICANL Accreditation Services
MPC offers a variety of levels of service complexity for the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine Laboratories (ICANL) accreditation services. Our dedicated ICANL service staff, includes a former ICANL field inspector. Consultation is available to assist your staff in the form of guidance for your own in-house submission to a complete start-to-finish ICANL application service.
