Dawn has 23 years of experience as a consulting physicist at MPC specializing in Nuclear Medicine physics. She has a Master of Science in Radiological Physics from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.

Also, Dawn is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Medical Nuclear Physics.

Dawn is a member of several professional organizations, including the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, the Central Chapter of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, the American Association of Physicists in Medicine, American College of Radiology and the Great Lakes Health Physics Society.

She has taught radiology residents, nuclear medicine technologists at professional meetings and radiation safety for physicians seeking to become authorized users on an NRC license. She currently helps teach at our MPC courses for Radiation Safety Officers.

Dawn has experience as a Radiation Safety Officer at Nuclear Medicine facilities and is a member of several Radiation Safety Committees. Her professional experience includes NRC license preparation and amendments, facility inspection, fetal dose calculations, patient dose calculations, structural ionizing radiation shielding assessments, non-imaging equipment review, imaging equipment quality control and maintenance review, nuclear medicine imaging camera acceptance testing and nuclear medicine imaging camera annual performance testing for ACR and TJC compliance.

She has additional expertise in radioactive seed localization and Y-90 microspheres programs including program start up, employee training and continued regulatory compliance.
