Daniel Miron

Dan started working at MPC in May 2016 as a Medical Health Physicist. He earned a BA in physics with a minor in mathematics and computer science from Ripon College in 1992.

In 2005, Dan was certified in Comprehensive Health Physics by the American Board of Health Physics. He is a member of the Health Physics Society (HPS) and has served as a counselor, president-elect and president of the North Central Chapter of the HPS.

Dan has over 20 years of health physics experience in both medical and research environments. He has been a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) on broad scope radioactive materials licenses/permits, medical use licenses, and a service provider license. Dan has extensive experience calculating/testing radiation shielding for diagnostic radiation producing equipment, nuclear medicine facilities, and PET facilities.

In the past Dan has been an instructor for Science Teacher Workshops and the Boy Scout Nuclear Science Merit Badge clinics. Dan is currently obtaining the experience necessary to complete nuclear medicine camera testing for TJC and ACR.
