Melissa joined our MPC west office in 2022. She received a Bachelor’s of Science in Nuclear Medicine from Weber State University in 2005 and is currently working on a Master’s of Science in Radiation Health Physics at Oregon State University.
She enjoyed her career as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for 18 years and gained a lot of knowledge in all areas of the field. She opened and ran a new department, which included overseeing regulatory compliance and inspections, quality control testing (including ACR), radiation protection, and training hospital staff. She is board certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists as well as the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. She is also board certified as a Radiologic Technologist and a CT Technologist. Melissa is a member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine, the Health Physics Society, and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. She provides physics support to nuclear medicine, radiology, fluoroscopy and CT departments.
