Jim is a full-time member of the MPC staff and an employee since 1989. He is responsible for providing both Diagnostic and Nuclear Medicine Physics coverage. Jim obtained his MS in Medical Physics from Wayne State University.
He is certified by the American Board Radiology in both Medical Nuclear Physics and Diagnostic Imaging Physics. He is also certified by the American Board of Medical Physics in Medical Health Physics.
As well as consulting in nuclear medicine facilities, Jim specializes in SPECT / PET performance testing and facility shielding design. He is approved by the FDA to perform compliance testing in mammography. Additionally, he serves as a Radiation Safety Officer and as a member of Radiation Safety Committees.
Jim is a full-member of the American College of Radiology, the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, and the American Association of Physicists in Medicine. He is an ACR Reviewer for Nuclear Medicine Accreditation. Jim has spoken at both local and national meetings with over 35 invited scientific presentations.
