Diane Elmer is the director of the newest MPC office in Springfield, Illinois. Before joining MPC, Diane established her independent consulting medical physics company in Springfield, IL in 2008. After 12 years in business, her company had grown significantly and she merged her business with MPC in 2020.

She has B.S. and M.S. degrees in radiological health physics from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. She is certified by the American Board of Radiology in diagnostic and therapy medical physics, and she is also certified by the American Board of Health Physicists in comprehensive health physics. Diane has extensive experience in diagnostic medical physics with a focus on equipment evaluation for quality assurance, compliance with state regulations and accreditation (The Joint Commission (TJC), American College of Radiology (ACR) and Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC)) for MRI, CT, mammography, PET, nuclear medicine and ultrasound. Diane is also a reviewer for the ACR Mammography accreditation program.
Diane has been involved in diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine and radiation therapy for her entire professional career. She is passionate about her work and prides herself on providing comprehensive and top-quality service to her clients.
Diane is an active member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine, the American College of Radiology, the Health Physics Society and the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors.
